Royal Holloway (University of London), required a campus map for use in their exhibitions both at home and abroad. The School’s team needed a map that showed the campus was compact and at the same time showing surrouding woodland and green areas in a more appealing fashion than simple isometric blocks used in many current Campus maps.
The approach was illustrator based and using blends and opacity to create a more friendly and alive image with a restricted pallete and a degree of perpective on each building to lend more realism and scale.
